Kids Appreciation Day

Each year, on the first Saturday in May, the Elizabethtown Police Department hosts the annual Kids Appreciation Day. It is our way of giving back to the community by providing a safe environment for the kids to play and have fun.

In recent years we have had bounce houses, pony rides, face painting, firetrucks and police cars on display, K-9 demonstrations, funnel cakes, hot dogs, bbq sandwiches, snow cones, demonstrations from the Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy Drill Team, and a DJ playing great music.

And thanks to the many donations from local businesses, we have been able to giveaway prizes for the winners of the home run derby and the basketball free throw competition. We also end the day by giving away bicycles to different age groups.

Be sure to mark it on your calendar and come join us for the fun, located behind the Elizabethtown Town Hall, on the first Saturday in May.
