Public Notice: TOWN OF ELIZABETHTOWN PUBLIC NOTICE Amended 9/9/26   The regular September Town Council meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, September 14, 2026 in the Elizabethtown Town Hall, 805 W. Broad Street.  There will be a Noon Work Session, and the evening meeting begins at 7:00 p.m.  Meetings take place in the Council Chamber. New Town Manager announced

At a special meeting on Wednesday night, the Elizabethtown Town Council voted unanimously to hire Mr. Dane Rideout, Town Manager of Bluefield, West Virginia.

The Mayor and Town Council feel fortunate to find someone of his experience and background. We look forward to a great future together.

Mr. Rideout will be replacing Mr. Eddie Madden, who will be leaving to take the job of County Manager in Columbus County.
