The Town of Elizabethtown provides safe recreational facilities and programs for our residents and visitors.  The parks offer an opportunity to engage, experience, and enjoy our town.  Our community and those traveling to Elizabethtown will find laughter, develop friendships, improve wellness and learn from our people and our parks.

An application and a small fee are required to reserve park facilities for events such as birthday parties, family reunions, weddings, or cookouts.

Brown's Creek Nature Trail and Bike Park

Brown's Creek Nature Trail and Bike Park are at 1992 East Broad Street, Elizabethtown, NC.   There are beautiful hiking paths to enjoy the beauty of nature alone or with family and friends. The mountain bike trail is 12.8 miles and offers the adventure of climbs, switchbacks, high-speed downhill action, jumps, rock gardens, berms, and obstacles inside a scenic hardwood forest running along beautiful Brown's Creek. There are no admission fees, parking is free, and you are less than a mile away from Downtown Elizabethtown!

Greene's Lake Conservation Park

Greene's Lake Conservation Park is a picturesque experience located at the Elizabethtown Industrial Park just off Hwy 87.  The park's natural scenery is the main attraction and features a paved walking trail, children's playground, swings, bird boxes, benches, and picnic areas.   There are two entrances to the park: 337 Aviation Parkway, Elizabethtown, NC (the entrance is behind Cape Fear Winery and Distillery) and 270 Ben Greene Industrial Park Road, Elizabethtown, NC.

Tory Hole Park

Tory Hole Park is at 275 N. Poplar Street, Elizabethtown, NC.  The park is home to Tory Hole Aceplace, a 9-hole disc golf course open year-round.   The park also features a custom GameTime playground to blend perfectly with the natural setting.   The play area includes a whirl, spinning mushroom, flower talk tube, log crawl thru, three-bay swings with two belt seats, a Zero-G seat, and an Expression Swing.   A quiet area is at the riverfront to enjoy nature's sounds and the beautiful Cape Fear River.   A scenic walking trail is ideal for building your appetite to enjoy a picnic with family and friends under the shade of shelter.   Anglers and boaters, please use the NC Wildlife Boat Landing at Tory Hole Park to access the river and enjoy even more beautiful views of Elizabethtown and Bladen County.

Elizabethtown Half-Pipe Skate Park

The skate park is located in Leinwand Park in the heart of Elizabethtown and is a quarter acre half-pipe.   The surface is 35 by 60 feet with 4 foot landing platforms on either side.   The park will host up to 50 skaters.

Lloyd Park

Lloyd Park is located on Swanzy Street in Elizabethtown, NC, and was named after long-time Elizabethtown Town Council member and Mayor Pro-Tempore Rufus Lloyd in 2017. Lloyd has served on Elizabethtown Town Council since 1991 and as an Elizabethtown Planning Board member for over 35 years. Lloyd Park is home to Elizabethtown's first dog park, exercise area, playground, and picnic shelter. The walking tracks that surround Lloyd Park are an extension of the exercise paths around Leinwand Park.

Leinwand Park

Leinwand Park is in the heart of Elizabethtown and is home to Dixie Youth Baseball with several baseball fields and, in 2021, hosted the District Nine baseball tournament. The park features a soccer field and a walking trail.

Brown's Landing (Lock & Dam #2)

Lock and Dam 2 was constructed in 1917 at Brown's Landing and offer a beautiful view and access to the Cape Fear River.   The lock is 40 feet by 200 feet.  The recreational area includes a boat ramp, fishing pier, picnic shelter, and parking area.  (Please note the building was affected by Hurricanes Matthew and Florence and is not open.  A portable restroom is on the property.)

Martin Luther King, Jr. Park

Martin Luther King, Jr. Park is located on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Elizabethtown, NC.

Johnson Park

Johnson Park is located on Fox Street, Elizabethtown, NC.
