Public Notice: State of Emergency In Effect -  Town Of Elizabethtown  News Release January 30-2026    The Town of Elizabethtown has declared a State of Emergency effective January 30th,  2026 at 5 PM due to winter weather conditions.   This declaration helps the Town coordinate resources and respond as needed to changing conditions.  Residents are encouraged to use caution when traveling and stay aware of local conditions.   Town staff and public safety officials are monitoring the situation and will provide updates  as needed.  The State of Emergency will remain in place until rescinded.

Sealed proposals will be received by the Town of Elizabethtown at Curtis L. Brown Jr Field Airport, located at 466 Airport Rd, Elizabethtown, NC 28337, up to 2:00 PM, August 27, 2024, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment for Airport Industrial Park Phase II project.

Project scope shall generally consist of: Construction of new connector taxiway and apron; building pad preparation for new corporate hangars; grading/earthwork; airfield lighting and utility relocation/installation; wet utilities (water, sanitary sewer, and storm) installation; SCM installation; perimeter roadway and parking lot construction; airfield and non-airfield pavement markings.

A Pre-Bid Conference has been scheduled for Wednesday August 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM, local time at the conference room of the Curtis L. Brown, Jr. Field Airport located at 466 Airport Rd, Elizabethtown, NC. Attendance at this Pre-Bid Conference is non-mandatory for all bidders intending to submit a prime bid on this project.  All other interested parties including, but not limited to, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors are welcome to attend. Due to the importance of all bidders having a clear understanding of the scope and requirements for this contract, it is highly recommended that bidders attend this meeting. Minutes of the Pre-Bid Conference will be issued to all registered plan holders as an addendum.

It is anticipated that the contract award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder if an award is made.

Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes with the Bidder’s name, full mailing address, and General Contractor License Number shown as the return address.  If submitted by delivery, proposals in sealed envelopes shall be delivered no later than 12:00 PM local time and shall be addressed to:
