Elizabethtown Announces Community Concert and Celebration Series

Live music, seasonal festivities and family-friendly events will bring the community together throughout fall and winter

The Elizabethtown Committee is pleased to announce a new Community Concert and Celebration Series designed to bring residents together for live entertainment, fellowship and the warm, welcoming atmosphere of small-town life.

The series will begin September 3 with a kickoff celebration featuring Too Much Sylvia at the Farmers Market. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and will include food trucks, and live music for the entire community to enjoy. Call to get your vendor spot.

On October 1, Band of Oz will take the stage for the community’s PINK OUT in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the Farmer's Market. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink and show their support. The event is sponsored by Cape Fear Valley Health.

The festivities continue October 29 with a Community Trick-or-Treat event at the Elizabethtown Community Center. Local businesses are invited to set up tables and distribute candy to children. The family-friendly celebration will also feature DJ Al Boogie and performances by students from Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy.

On November 5, The Pink Slips will help Elizabethtown commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States. Community members are encouraged to wear red, white and blue and join their neighbors for an evening of music and patriotic celebration at the Farmer's Market. Celebrating Memorial Day.

The series concludes December 3 with Jingle & Jam Night, a festive celebration of the Christmas season. The evening will feature a student visual-art display, a visit from Santa and performances of Christmas music at the Community Center. Community choirs, soloists, bands and other performers are invited to participate in Jingle & Jam Night. Anyone interested in sharing a song of Christmas joy is encouraged to sign up.

Through this series, the Elizabethtown Committee hopes to create memorable opportunities for residents, businesses, students and visitors to connect while celebrating the community’s talent and hometown spirit.

Additional event details and performer sign-up information will be announced as they become available.
