PUBLIC NOTICE: The February Town Council meeting will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 in the Elizabethtown Town Hall, 805 W. Broad Street. There will be a Noon Work Session, and the evening meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. Meetings take place in the Council Chamber.

THE SMITHFIELD CUP

The inaugural Smithfield Cup, held in historic Elizabethtown, N.C., celebrated the Carolinas’ rich barbecue history, featuring pork prepared from renowned Pitmasters from both North Carolina and South Carolina. The barbecue competition for state supremacy was won by the North Carolina team.

Join us for the 2025 event, which will feature meat and side sampling, live music and entertainment, a petting zoo, a kids zone, vintage car display, barbecue vendors, along with a selection of Craft Beer, Wine & Spirits.
