In accordance with the N.C. Governor’s Executive Order, this is notice to the public that the Town of Elizabethtown’s regular December 7, 2020, 7 p.m., Town Council meeting will be a Virtual Meeting.  The virtual meeting will allow the Mayor and Council Members to conduct the important business of municipal government while protecting the health and safety of the council members, the public and town staff.

For the December 7, 2020 Town Council meeting, the meeting time will be 7:00 p.m., and there will be no Noon Work Session.  Members of the public may join the meeting through Zoom from computer, smart phone or dial-in.  Please see the following information in order to connect to the December 7, 2020 Town Council Virtual meeting:

For citizens desiring to speak at the Public Hearing (Quasi-Judicial Process) for the Special Use Permit Request, Bladen County Sheriff’s Department, Case #SU1030200303, for an additional Accessory Building >750 sq. ft., they may either join the meeting remotely or may come to the Elizabethtown Municipal Building at 805 W. Broad Street where there will be a setup to join the meeting in the Council Chamber.  If citizens wish to come to the Municipal Building to partake in the meeting, please wear a face covering and follow all COVID-19 guidelines.  Temperatures will be checked upon entering the building. 

Regarding public comments for the Open Forum section of the meeting,  written comments may be addressed to Town Clerk Juanita Hester by emailing [email protected] or by including the written comments in an envelope addressed to the Town Clerk and leaving the envelope in the Town’s Drive-through Drop-Box at 805 W. Broad Street.
