PUBLIC NOTICE: Special Called Meeting on Oct. 24: This is notice to the public that the Elizabethtown Town Council will conduct a Special Called Meeting on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 12 o’clock Noon at the Elizabethtown Municipal Building, 805 W. Broad Street.  The purpose of the meeting will be for Closed Session in accordance with NCGS 143-318.11(a)(3) – Attorney-Client Privilege.

Water Service around Swanzy Street to be Interrupted on Wednesday, July 27 starting at 10AM.

On Wednesday, July 27th, the Elizabethtown Water Department will be relocating and replacing a hydrant on Swanzy Street. Starting at 10AM, water service in the area on the map may be effected. According to Public Services Director, Steve Duffy, “The Water Department is doing as much preliminary work as possible before turning off service and will do everything possible to return service as quickly as possible.” The interruption is anticipate 2-6 hours depending on what issues are encountered.
