Public Notice: State of Emergency In Effect -  Town Of Elizabethtown  News Release January 30-2026    The Town of Elizabethtown has declared a State of Emergency effective January 30th,  2026 at 5 PM due to winter weather conditions.   This declaration helps the Town coordinate resources and respond as needed to changing conditions.  Residents are encouraged to use caution when traveling and stay aware of local conditions.   Town staff and public safety officials are monitoring the situation and will provide updates  as needed.  The State of Emergency will remain in place until rescinded.

Community Development Block Grant-Neighborhood Revitalization (CDBG-NR) Program

 

The Town of Elizabethtown Town Council will be conducting the second of two Public Hearings on February 6, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of receiving public comments regarding a Community Development Block Grant-Neighborhood Revitalization Program in the amount of $2,575,000.00 for a proposed Community Center on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Elizabethtown, NC.  The Public Hearing will be conducted in the Elizabethtown Municipal Building located at 805 W. Broad Street, Elizabethtown, NC.  Members of the public wishing to speak at this Public Hearing will be required to place their name on the sign-in sheet prior to the opening of the Town Council meeting.
